
In 1997, after 20 years as a technical
manager and an additional nine as a contract trainer/consultant, Brent
Ives decided that he should share his
knowledge of management, organizational behavior, lessons learned, experiences,
and hard knocks with others through BHI Management Consulting. He determined
that there was a sufficient market, especially to Special Districts, Pubilc
Agencies, Non-Profits and small business. Since that time BHI has trained
hundreds of managers from all walks of the public sector and business, always
committed to a no-nonsense style. What’s been found is that many smaller
organizations often grow so fast they find themselves with few experienced
and trained managers to handle issues surfacing as they get larger. They
find themselves needing some strategy, structure and some help in adjusting
their organization to reflect the reality.
We are dedicated to working with organizations to bring an improved foundation
to that state. We do not espouse many of the programs out there where academics
train managers how to manage. We believe that managers should consult, guide
and train managers. The program that works in your organization will not
be a cookie cutter fix for yours. We have yet to find a manager part company
